Klay Mohamed Abdel Aziz Kassem blends the beauty of Egyptian culture with his contemporary abstract expressionist approach. Planes of color and streamlined forms merge with motifs borrowed from ancient culture makes Kassem’s work a tantalizing statement on modernism in Egypt. Born in Gharbia in 1977, Kassem holds an MA (2008) and a PhD (2013) in art studies from the University of Alexandria. . He's an Instructor in the Department of Painting at the Alexandria University.

He is also a member of the Syndicate of Fine arts. His paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group national and international exhibitions in Muscat, India, Paris, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Alexandria, Luxor and Sharm El Sheikh.

The exhibition open it’s door for visitors starting [16,17,18 Feb 2025] till [5th March 2025] at Folk Art Space exhibition area in Sehla, Kingdom of Bahrain. Klay Kassam is an Egyptian artist renowned for blending the richness of Egyptian heritage with contemporary abstract techniques. His work invites viewers into a world of bold colors and dynamic shapes, each piece a tribute to Egypt's visual legacy through modern artistic expression. Born in 1977, Kassam holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Alexandria University, where he later taught as a professor.
